Conservatories and roofs

The room you can use in January

A glass or plastic roof makes a conservatory an oven in July and a fridge in winter. A solid tiled roof, insulated and plastered inside, turns it into a proper room in about five days.

What Cardiff has fitted

Composite door, Pontcanna

"We changed our minds on the colour three times at the survey and they brought the real samples every time. Anthracite grey in the end, fitted in half a day, and the draught in the hall has gone."

Ffion DaviesPontcanna

Eleven windows, Rhiwbina

"Eleven windows out and in by four o'clock, dust sheets on everything, and the FENSA certificate arrived the week after."

Gareth MorganRhiwbina

Conservatory roof, Penarth

"Our conservatory was an oven in July and a fridge in January. The tiled roof has made it the room we actually sit in."

Questions

Before the survey

Anything else, ask at the survey. We bring samples of every frame, colour and handle.

Call the showroom

Yes. Every replacement window and door is registered with FENSA, so it meets building regulations, and you get the certificate to keep for when you sell.

Most doors take half a day and a typical house of windows one to two days. Rooms are dust sheeted and no opening is ever left overnight.

The window energy rating runs from A++ to E. Building regulations ask for B or better on a replacement. Ours start at A+, and triple glazing reaches A++.

Usually. We make sash look, flush casement and Georgian bar windows in over twenty colours, inside and out, and can match most existing styles.

Ten years on the frames, the glass and our workmanship, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell the house.
